Hapé, also known as "ha-pay" or "rah-pay," is a traditional snuff made from powdered tobacco and/or dried herbs and ashes from the rainforest. This sacred medicine is blown through a pipe called a Tepi into the nose of the receiver with a prayer. Hapé has protective, grounding, and clearing properties, and is used to remove energetic blockages and activate the pineal gland. It can be used before Kambo or meditation to bring focus and calmness, and to strengthen intention-setting and clear one's energetic field.
